Here’s two I would add to your LinkedIn mistakes list:
1)Asking someone to “endorse” you when they don’t know you. I have had two people do this and I just politely replied, “Since we have not worked together, I wouldn’t feel comfortable endorsing your work yet. I look forward to learning more about you here on LinkedIn.”

2)Minimizing someone’s contribution in a discussion because you disagree with his/her opinion. Better to say, I respectfully disagree …
